When a group of people share the same passion and a deep affection for their town, initiatives as special as the creation of Club Deportivo ViverRun come to life. It all began with a simple message that many of us still remember with a smile: “At 7 pm at the Santo fountain and off we go for training.” That spontaneous call marked the beginning of a story built on dedication and effort.
What started as simple group runs gradually took shape over time, driven by the motivation of very different people, yet united by the same purpose: to bring the spirit of trail running to our town. Because if there is something that defines Viver, it is its connection to sport, nature and community. Every training session, every step and every gathering helped to consolidate an idea that is now a reality: the creation of a club that reflects everything we are passionate about.
Today, Club Deportivo ViverRun has more than one hundred members. Over a hundred people who believe in this project, enjoy outdoor sport and proudly represent the name of Viver wherever they go.
Last year we experienced a particularly meaningful milestone: the organisation of our first San Silvestre race, an event that saw excellent participation and allowed us to enjoy a sporting and festive day alongside neighbours and friends. This success encourages us to continue promoting activities that foster community spirit and a love of sport, such as the Trail Las Aguas — a trail race that this year we are organising without any external company, relying solely on the commitment of all club members and the support of a town that always responds with enthusiasm. The club also maintains a weekly training group and organises hiking outings to explore and enjoy the landscapes that surround us.
Our wish is for this initiative to continue growing and strengthening over time, and for every resident of Viver to feel that this club belongs to them. May sport remain a source of unity, joy and pride for our town.
