Ceramic Exhibition | Heartbeats of Time and Poppies

From 9 to 29 July, the El Convento Cultural Space in Viver will host a joint exhibition featuring two contemporary artistic projects that explore memory, the body and transformation through ceramics and mixed media.

The exhibition brings together the work of Gloria Ferrer Rabanaque, with her project Heartbeats of Time, and Shaila Maravilla Cotariella, with the exhibition Poppies.

Heartbeats of Time | Gloria Ferrer Rabanaque

Gloria’s work is based on a fundamental idea: objects and the remains of nature preserve memory. Inspired by Trash Art and Blackout Poetry, the artist recovers forgotten materials — old books, wood, discarded objects and bone fragments — and gives them new life through ceramics, painting and visual poetry.

Her creative process explores the transformative and resilient nature of materials, turning seemingly abandoned elements into new forms of artistic and poetic expression.

Poppies | Shaila Maravilla Cotariella

Poppies is an artistic project in which ceramics become body, symbol and language. Through a series of ceramic vulvas, the exhibition explores identity, femininity, freedom, materiality and artistic perception.

It is a bold, organic and deeply visual proposal that invites viewers to contemplate the body through art, free from prejudice and with sensitivity.
