Book Day at Viver 2025: Books that find their home

  •

On 23 April, Viver celebrated Book Day in a creative and heart-warming way. The El Convento Cultural Space was transformed into a place where imagination ran free and books, far from being silent, spoke through shapes, colours and voices.

Upon entering, visitors encountered an exhibition that went beyond reading: books turned into sculptures, works that played with paper, volume and art to show us that a book is not only read... it can also be contemplated. A few steps further on, stories came to life in another exhibition in which characters escaped from their pages, ready to surprise young and old alike.

One of the most beautiful ideas was that of ownerless books: copies waiting to be sponsored, adopted by new readers who would take them home, ready to start again. Because all books deserve a second chance... and a reader who will listen to them.

And as every celebration at Viver has a childlike spirit, the little ones enjoyed an illustration workshop with lost objects. With buttons, keys, ribbons and a little imagination, they created characters and settings that could be part of any story.

It was a day to rediscover the magic of reading, to play with stories and give them new meanings. Because at Viver, every book has a place. And every reader has a world to discover.
