From Barracas with love☺️

Hello, I'm Inma Mañes ☺️

Recently, À Punt broadcast a lovely report by Carmen Bort about my work with handmade jewellery made from natural flowers. The recording took place in Barracas, the village where I currently live and where I have found the perfect space to develop this artistic project linked to nature and manual work.

A few years ago, I decided to return to the interior of Castellón, although I don't think I ever really left 🤣. It was a change that allowed me to reconnect with the rhythm of nature and approach creation from a different perspective.

Although I still say I'm from Viver, because that's not going to change, my current work is not based on nostalgia, but on a contemporary view of nature and craftsmanship. The flowers I use in each piece — necklaces, earrings, ornaments — are not simply decorative. They are collected, dried and transformed using my own techniques to create unique, durable objects with a strong emotional component.

Since moving to Barracas, I have remained connected to Alto Palancia, and I dream that both Viver and Barracas can share more spaces for creativity, culture, and rural tourism. I firmly believe in the potential of our villages to generate initiatives with soul and attract those seeking authentic experiences: from creative workshops to botanical trails or events linked to the landscape.

The À Punt report showed part of this artisanal and vital process, as well as a way of living and creating that is committed to the local, the sustainable and the handmade. It can be seen in full on the channel's website:

Creating from here is also a way to sow, share, and build a future from the ground up.
