Hier encore: Music, Memory and Intergenerational Connection

The El Convento Cultural Space in Viver will host Hier encore, a musical and community-based project specially designed for older people, inviting participants to embark on an emotional journey through the songs that have shaped their lives.

The activity will consist of live performances of a repertoire based on the music of the participants' youth, including popular songs from the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America, coplas, boleros, tangos and traditional music. The experience aims to encourage connection, dialogue and the sharing of memories through the power of music.

The event will be led by Alejandro Luaces, known as "El Nene de la Vega", a singer and conservatoire graduate with extensive experience in community music projects and programmes supporting older people in Spain and France. His work focuses on the power of music as a tool for wellbeing, participation and emotional connection.

Hier encore celebrates memory, popular culture and intergenerational togetherness, highlighting the emotional and cultural heritage preserved by older generations.
