Casas de Parrela (Houses of Parrela)
Carr. de Herragudo CS VC
See route
When thinking of Ragudo, the people of Viver imagine this charming group of houses scattered along the CV-2390 (old N-234). From the roundabout towards the train tracks, these farmhouses retain their rural flavour, although some are now modernised.
The first nucleus, Casas de Parrela (N39.947557, W0.627341) also called ‘RAGUDO de abajo’, looks like a small village with its squares dedicated to local families and drinking fountains. Here you can still see traces of irrigation ditches and the old ‘higuera negra’ (N39.94693 W0.62767), where there were once irrigation ponds.
