"PLAZA MAYOR DEL PALANCIA" OR ‘PLAZA NUEVA’
The "Plaza Mayor" of Viver began to be built at the end of the Civil War, by the Devastated Regions, and was inaugurated in 1945.
The buildings that make up this square, including the town hall, are very sober and make profuse use of stone in the plinths, arcades, corners and brick cladding. The windows are large, which is a novelty, as until then, the houses had small windows.
The "Plaza Mayor" is a place where various local festivities and events are held, such as markets, fairs and traditional celebrations. These activities contribute to community life and the preservation of traditions.
